FINAL
Present for the Community Preservation Committee and attending the meeting were: Andy Goldman, Chairman, Jane Slater, Barbara Murphy, Tim Carroll, Karin Wetmore and Chuck Hodgkinson. Janet Weidner, Andrew Fischer and Warren Doty were absent.
The meeting came to order at 6:07 PM.
1. MEETING MINUTES: The April 15, 2009 regular meeting minutes were reviewed. A motion was made to approve the minutes as presented. The motion was seconded and voted unanimously in favor.
2. MIDDLE LINE ROAD UPDATE: Chuck H. updated the Committee on the well drilling progress. Mr. Goldman outlined the Housing Committee’s broad plan for completing the program from the construction of the rental duplexes to holding the lottery. The Housing Committee is planning to hold a public information meeting within the next month for interested and potential housing applicants.
3. STONE WALLS PHASE III UPDATE: Chuck H. distributed photos of the restored walls near the Allen Farm, Frank Fenner’s restored walls and Zada Clarke’s recently restored wall along with the restoration guidelines that were used for Zada’s wall. The Committee discussed the positive impact and heightened awareness this program has generated over the past few years and feels there are other important historic preservation opportunities that are also worth exploring.
4. NEXT MEETINGS: The Committee agreed to suspend the regular meetings for July and August. It will however convene during this time should the need arise.
With no further business to conduct the meeting adjourned at 6:25 PM.
