FINAL
Present for the Community Preservation Committee and attending the meeting were: Andy Goldman, Chairman, Jane Slater, Barbara Murphy, Tim Carroll, Andrew Fischer, Karin Wetmore, Warren Doty (arrived late) and Chuck Hodgkinson. Janet Weidner was absent.
The meeting came to order at 6:06 PM.
1. MEETING MINUTES: The February 18, 2009 regular meeting minutes were reviewed. A motion was made to approve the minutes as presented. The motion was seconded and voted unanimously in favor.
2. MIDDLE LINE ROAD UPDATE: Chuck H. informed the Committee that the well drilling contract was awarded to John Clarke and drilling has started.
3. STONE WALLS PHASE III UPDATE: Chuck H. informed the Committee that the renovation of Frank Fenner’s stone walls along South Road has been completed. This work was performed under the appropriation where the residents pay for 50 percent of the renovation cost. The Committee discussed their opinion that this specific project appears to be more like the rebuilding of a wall rather than the restoration of an old wall because several “new” stones were brought to the site and used to rebuild the wall – rather than just the original fallen stones. The Committee instructed Chuck H. to provide clearer direction for future requests on restoration procedures -- as done with Phases I and II.
4. NEW AT LARGE COMMITTEE VOLUNTEER: Chuck H. informed the Committee that Caitlin Jones has volunteered to become an At Large member of the Committee. The Selectmen need to appoint Caitlin at their meeting for annual appointments that takes place after Town Meeting.
5. ANNUAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT ARTICLES: The Committee reviewed the proposed warrant articles for the April 27th Annual Town Meeting and organized their comments should they be required.
6. NEXT MEETING: Wednesday, May 20, 2009 @ 6:00 PM.
